Trainer Gai Waterhouse has boosted her Melbourne carnival team with the quick transfer of last Saturday's Rosehill winner Bhutane Dane to her Flemington stable.

Former Melbourne mare Gamble Me, unlucky not to win her first start for Waterhouse in last Saturday's Starlight Stakes, is also hading south for her next start in a Group 2 race.

Bhutane Dane is set for a four-race campaign in Melbourne after his impressive first-up win in last Saturday's Heritage Stakes (1200m), his second win from five starts.

Bhutane Dane will have his first Melbourne start at Flemington on October 4 and then proceed to Caulfield on October 18 before tackling his major targets, the Carbine Club Stakes at Flemington and the Sandown Guineas.

Gamble Me will be sent to Melbourne if she pleases in the stable this week or her next start in the $250,000 Gilgai Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on October 4.

The former Lee Freedman-trained mare, an unlucky fourth in the Starlight Stakes after missing the start, will have the $350,000 Salinger Stakes as her major target at Flemington on November 1.

Tuesday Joy will have her next start in the $500,000 Turnbull Stakes at Flemington on Saturday week while Waterhouse will keep Kingda Ka for the $350,000 Toorak Handicap at Caulfield on October 11.

Kingda Ka resumed at Caulfield last Saturday with a 13th in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over 1400m.
