Meanwhile Jolie’s Shinju will head to Caulfield on Tuesday morning for a track gallop in preparation for Saturday’s race.
Trainer Hideyuki Takaoka will then inspect stabling options at Caulfield and Flemington with a view to moving the Singapore Derby winner to one of the two tracks.
Jolie’s Shinju has cleared quarantine in Melbourne and with the next round of European stayers for the Melbourne Cup to arrive where the mare is currently stabled at Sandown in the early hours of Saturday morning, she must vacate those stables, either to the other side of Sandown or to one of the main training centres.
Sandown has two quarantine blocks, with each block having use of the track for one hour. Should Jolie’s Shinju stay at Sandown, she could not be on the track at the same time as any of the other horses which would shorten the trackwork times for all horses preparing for the Spring Carnival.
