Tregoning pleased with Sir Percy ahead of Sheema bid

DERBY winner Sir Percy is in full work ahead of his engagement in the Dubai Sheema Classic on World Cup night at Nad Al Sheba.

The mile-and-a-half contest was won by Heart’s Cry for Japan last year from Collier Hill, with Ouija Board back in fourth.

Tregoning is relieved he is finally getting a clear run with the four-year-old after an interrupted season last term. “He’s very well and we are starting to build him up for the Sheema Classic,” said the trainer. “He looks an absolute picture and I hope he is back to his best - I think he should be. Idon't want any stops now and he will go to Dubai in mid-March.

“If all goes well, he'll have a quick break and then go for the Prince Of Wales’s at Royal Ascot. He could go for the Coronation Cup, but I fancy a mile and a quarter with him.”
