Authorized is likely to leave Peter Chapple-Hyam’s stable “very shortly” to join Sheikh Mohammed’s Darley operation.
Arrangements are being made for the Vodafone Derby and Juddmonte International winner to move to his new home.
He arrived back safe and sound at Newmarket following his poor performance in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on Sunday.
“I think we have finished with him now. He will be going to Darley very shortly. They will be arranging it this week,” said Tony Nerses, racing manager to Saleh Al Homeizi and Imad Al Sagar, in whose colours the colt ran.
They sold Authorized following his brilliant five-length victory in the Derby, but leased him back from Sheikh Mohammed.
Nerses went on: “Sheikh Mohammed will probably decide this week what to do. I don’t know what will happen, but he won’t race for us an y more — the Arc was his last race for us.
“We have had a year to remember and we can’t let last weekend spoil everything. We achieved something that a lot of people would love to achieve.
“He’s come back fine. The horse is in good form, as though nothing has happened. Mentally and physically he looked just perfect. It was just one of those things.”
