Paco Boy 下一目標會跑慶典一哩錦標
PACO BOY, impressive when winning at Newbury over the weekend, could make a quick reappearance by tackling the Group 2 Celebration Mile at Goodwood on Saturday.
The three-year-old took nothing out of himself when landing Newbury's Hungerford Stakes by four and a half lengths, according to trainer Richard Hannon, who said: “Goodwood is a possibility.”
Hannon, speaking from the Deauville sales, added: “He didn't have a hard race at Newbury and only had to travel a few miles down the road to get there, so we can give Saturday's race serious consideration.
“He won well, he's still improving, and you don't get many horses like him for the money that was paid when he was purchased.”
Paco Boy is among ten confirmed entries for Saturday's Totesport-sponsored £100,000 event and, if he does line up, his toughest opponent appears likely to be John Gosden's Raven's Pass, second to Henrythenavigator in last month's Sussex Stakes.
Other possibles for Saturday's race include the Godolphin duo Calming Influence and Third Set, the Luca Cumani-trained Bankable, and Clive Cox's Dunelight, fourth in last season's Celebration Mile.
Last year's runner-up Cesare has been taken out of the race due to a foot abscess.
