應屆法國打比大賽 Le Havre 因傷退役
The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Prix du Jockey-Club winner Le Havre (Noverre — Marie Rheinberg, by Surako) has been retired from racing after sustaining a tendon injury.
Rouget told the Racing Post on Friday: "As can happen after an extreme effort, Le Havre come out of the Jockey Club with serious tendon problems which will change the direction of his career. There is no question now of running him in the Prix Jacques Le Marois.
"With his owner, Gerard Augustin-Normand, it will be decided where the horse will stand at stud but it is a little too early to mention any names."
Le Havre beat Naaqoos to win the Prix Djebel on Good Friday, and then finished second in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains before landing Classic glory at Chantilly.
