According the Spanish site Sport.es Arsenal and Real Madrid have agreed to terms over striker Gonzalo Higuain.
According to them,
the Argentinian striker will sign a five-year contract with Arsenal for a transfer fee of around £18.6m, after Higuain chose Arsenal over Tottenham.
The striker has failed to maintain his position in the starting eleven at Madrid this season. Nevertheless, he has 14 goals to his name from 17 La Liga appearances.
The striker had initially joined Madrid from River Plate in 2007, and he has grabbed 105 league goals from 188 appearances for the Los Blancos.
Arsenal are keen on improving their strikers’ force because they have struggled in that department since the departure of Robin van Persie last summer. Both Oliver Giroud and Lukas Podolski have not really succeeded upfront.
Arsenal are also said to be interested in Barcelona’s David Villa and Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic.
