Group One runner-up sets sights on Japanese mile feature
John Moore is hoping for an invite to next month's Yasuda Kinen in Japan for Rewarding Hero after the consistent six-year-old was only a length and a quarter behind his superstar stablemate Able Friend in the Champions Mile. Rewarding Hero was a Group Three winner earlier this season and although the gelding wasn't among initial entries for the 100,000,000 yen mile at Tokyo on June 7, Moore said he was waiting to hear from Japan Racing Association officials. "We'll go if we get an invite," Moore said. "I think he deserves his chance." Michael Cox
