十二月七日星期三，小組報告將於今日賽事之前召見莫雷拉，向他查詢「瑰麗傳奇」於是賽的表現。然而十二月八日星期四的例行賽後獸醫檢查發現該駒右前腿不良於行。因此毋須再就該駒的表現向莫雷拉查詢。

接近終點時，「飛來猛」（田泰安）與「威力川」（潘頓）緊迫競跑。小組就潘頓於跑過終點後向田泰安發出的言論而警告他。

其實有冇先例

Following the race and prior to the declaration of weighed-in, J Moreira, the rider of the second placed, BEAT THE CLOCK, lodged a protest/objection against WINNER’S WAY being declared the winner of the race alleging interference over the final 100 Metres. After reviewing the videos, J Moreira sought leave to withdraw the protest/objection which was immediately acceded to by the Stewards. J Moreira subsequently was fined the sum of $5,000 for lodging a frivolous protest/objection. He was advised that had he have not sought to withdraw the protest/objection at an early stage, a greater monetary penalty may well have been imposed. It should be noted that J Moreira did not seek leave of the Stewards to review the official videos prior to entering a protest/objection.
