Doctor Fremantle傷愈，聖烈治錦標(St Leger)成首仗復出目標

Connections are hopeful that Doctor Fremantle will have recovered from a foot bruise in time to take his chance in the Ladbrokes St Leger on September 13.

Fourth in the Vodafone Derby, Doctor Fremantle had been due to line up in the Great Voltigeur Stakes as part of his preparations for the Doncaster Classic, but he was ruled out after sustaining the injury during a routine workout on the gallops.

While he is making steady progress from the setback, connections are unsure whether he will be fit for the St Leger.

"He's coming on all right and we are hopeful of getting him there. Obviously he won't get a run before the Leger," said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah.

"It is a very delicate balance in that I don't want to say don't worry he'll make it, easy peasy, but equally I don't want to put everyone completely away. At the moment we are hopeful of getting him there."
