「遊戲世界」回紐西蘭放牧
AJC Derby winner Nom Du Jeu will return home without another start at the Sydney autumn carnival.
Trainer Murray Baker today confirmed that Nom Du Jeu's Sydney campaign is over after just one outing after receiving the results of veterinary tests taken on Monday.
Co-trainer Bjorn Baker, in Sydney with the four-year-old, said Nom Du Jeu will be on a flight back to New Zealand tonight.
Nom Du Jeu raced well below expectations in last Saturday's GI Chipping Norton Stakes at Randwick with Baker ordering a series of tests be taken from the stayer after he finished a battling ninth behind Tuesday Joy.
Nom Du Jeu underwent a series of tests at the Randwick Equine Centre in Sydney and the results were not what Baker antd to hear.
"We've had him checked over and the verdict is that we've called off the rest of the trip and he'll be on the flight home," he said.
"He will have a few months in the paddock and we'll look to the spring with him.
"He just hasn't come up as we expected."
Nom Du Jeu was unplaced first-up in the GI Waikato Draught Sprint before making the trip to Sydney.
Stablemate Fully Fledged will remain in Sydney and will start at Randwick on Saturday in the Eskimo Prince Stakes.
