New Zealand Oaks winner Boundless will challenge dual classic winner Zarita in the $600,000 AJC Oaks at Randwick on April 20.
Trainer Steve Mckee made the decision to send Boundless to Sydney after the filly recorded another impressive win against older rivals at Ellerslie last Saturday.
McKee today confirmed that Boundless will get her opportunity to join a select group of fillies to win the NZ Oaks-AJC Oaks double.
"She's booked to go over next week," McKee told NZ Racing News.
Boundless won the GI NZ Oaks (2400m) at Trentham last month and again proved a class above her opposition when she won over 2100m at Ellerslie last Saturday on the same day Zarita addd the SA Derby to her record.
McKee said Boundless has come through the Ellerslie win in good order and will derive benefit from the race.
Boundless will attempt to emulate Domino, the last filly to win the NZ-AJC Oaks double in 1990.
McKee said an announcement is pending on a rider for Boundless in the AJC Oaks .
