The half-brother to World Champion sprinter Sacred Kingdom sold for "unbelievably good value" at today's first session of the William Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Golden Slipper winning trainer Gai Waterhouse was the successful bidder for the Fastnet Rock-Courtroom Sweetie (Zeditave) colt, which was offered by Blue Gum Farm and sold for $350,000.

“He's a lovely big loose colt and I thought he was unbelievably good value in an incredibly hot sale,” Waterhouse said.

“This is equivalent to Keeneland.”

Sacred Kingdom, a son of Encosta De Lago, is the current idol of Hong Kong racing and enjoys the rating of the World's best sprinter.

He was a $200,000 graduate of the 2005 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale and his wins include the Hong Kong International Sprint and Chairman's Sprint at Group 1 level.

Midway through the first session of the sale, the average was hovering around the $360,000 mark – well up on last year's overall sale average of $331,935.

Included among the early highlights was a Redoute's Choice-Coliape (Woodman) filly, which sold to Kris Lees for $1.8million.

The filly is bred on the same cross as Champion two and three-year-old Miss Finland.

A Redoute's Choice-Castellina filly had earlier sold for $1.1million, while a Flying Spur-Cantenac filly made $1million four lots earlier.

呢隻馬...以我睇馬相咁多年經驗...過唔到出年年尾..會有血光之災:bbb:

因為gaiwaterhouse操馬...命都短幾年..谷到d馬傻:lll: :lll:

我唔係好熟澳洲同紐西蘭賽馬但都知呢位呀姐練馬手法狠辣之餘, 針藥用得極為霸道, D馬想長命都難:zzz:
