Sir Michael Stoute admits he fleetingly felt he had won the Vodafone Derby with runner-up Tartan Bearer.
The trainer, who ran three in the race, said: "I am delighted with them. I thought we might have won, but I had a terrible view and I would like to see it again."
Peter Reynolds, manager for Tartan Bearer's owner Ballymacoll Stud, added: "Ryan Moore said the pace could have been slightly better but it was a good performance and we're happy. The winner is a very good horse, but hopefully we'll go to the Curragh now for the Irish Derby."
Of Tajaaweed, another of the Stoute runners, owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum's racing manager Angus Gold added: "He just didn't get the trip and we will step him back now."
