Quotes of about 12-1 for next year's English Derby prevailed after Sea The Stars was an easy winner of Leopardstown's opener on Sunday.
The son of Cape Cross, a half-brother to the brilliant Galileo, had shown plenty on his debut and progressed here for John Oxx and
Michael Kinane to win the Korean Racing Authority European Breeders Fund (C & G) Maiden.
The 2-1 favourite was merely pushed out to win by two and a half lengths from Dermot Weld's Dark Humour [13-2].
There was the same margin again back to The Bull Hayes, who blew the start but ran on under hand riding into third.
Authorized's full brother, Sirgarfieldsobers, also missed the break and never got involved for Aidan O'Brien.
