Top rated Efficient and Sirmione didn't accept for the race leaving Pompeii Ruler, with 56kg, topweight for the 2400m race.

Under the race conditions the topweight must carry a minimum of 57kg so weights will be raised 1kg.

Weekend Hussler's weight now moves to 56.5kg, while Maldivian and last year's Caulfield Cup winner Master O'Reilly will now both carry 56kg.

There were 80 horses left in the race after yesterday's declarations, including three internationals, who arrive in Melbourne this weekend.

Luca Cumani's Mad Rush and Bauer and Godolphin's All The Good, were all paid up yesterday but none of the trio are guaranteed a start in the $2.5 million event.

Mad Rush and All The Good are on the fringe of the field in ballot order, while Bauer has little chance of making the race.

There are four more lead-up races to the Caulfield Cup which will allow the winner a guaranteed start.
The winner of the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington, as well as the Yalumba Stakes, Toorak Handicap and Winning Edge Presentation Stakes at Caulfield, will all be exempt from the Caulfield Cup ballot.

In the Tattersalls Cox Plate 56 horses remain following second declarations. Eleven three-year-olds are still in the weight-for-age classic, and just one filly - star Sydney galloper Samantha Miss.

In the Caulfield Guineas 56 horses remain in contention while 51 fillies were paid up for the Thousand Guineas.

「高效能」同「意國小城」選擇唔跑

「高效能」應該可能跑覺士盾日場G2 2500 或者跑麥堅倫錦標再上去墨爾本杯作衛冕。

因賽事規則最高負磅必定為57kg , 所以分齡讓磅排名第三位的「龐貝尊主」加重1kg上陣。

而 Weekend Hussler 為 56.5kg , 而「威利大師」同「馬爾代夫」則負 56 kg 上陣。
