Vet Inspection For Manifold Favourite
Friday, 3 October 2008: Classy filly Romneya will be examined by official vets before tomorrow's $300,000 Edward Manifold Stakes at Flemington.
Trainer Lee Freedman today advised stewards that Romneya was treated earlier in the week for a respiratory infection.
He said his resident vet Dr. John Walker had clared the filly to run on Saturday after receiving the results of a recent blood test.
However stewards have ordered Freedman to supply a copy of the blood results to the RVL veterinary department and the filly will subsequently be examined by an official veterinary surgeon when she arrives at the course on Saturday.
