What the jockeys had to say after the today's Caulfield Cup.
KERRIN MCEVOY (All The Good): "It's just a fantastic feeling. I got caught three deep but had cover and travelled great all the way and maintained that spot.
"He picked up really well when I asked him."
JEFF LLOYD (Nom Du Jeu): "He had every chance and ran good."
BRAD RAWILLER (Weeeknd Hussler): "It hurts for me and for everyone, at the end of the day we know he didn't stay the trip today.
"On the Turnbull run we didn't get the guide we wanted and it's frustrating.
"But it's not the end of the road by any means, we've got many years of great racing ahead of him.
MICHAEL RODD (Maldivian): "Had a beautiful run through the race, came into it on the tail of Weekend Hussler, loomed up and had Weekend Hussler's measure pretty quickly.
"Got to about the 250 and the winner went past me quite confidently, my bloke hit the wall and I just don't think he stayed the 2400m."
VLAD DURIC (Master O'Reilly): "Felt the ground today, track is pretty firm.
"They slowed up mid race. He didn't show a lot of dash but just ran like a two miler."
STEVEN KING (Littorio): "Had a good run but he'll be better at Flemington.
"I am disappointed and just got to hope he improves his form when he gets to Flemington."
JAMES WINKS (Douro Valley): "He was up to his old tricks out of the barrier stalls.
"He kicked through reasonably good, got crunched. He ran OK."
COREY BROWN (Red Ruler): "Good run. Everything went his way and boxed on well."
DWAYNE DUNN (Boundless): "Didn't have much luck from about the 1200m and got checked in the straight.
'She ran OK, will run in the Melbourne Cup and should in the first half of the field there."
CLARE LINDOP (Dolphin Jo): "He knuckled coming out of the gates, couldn't get a position and was posted a bit wide.
"Travelled well considering and he battled on OK."
CRAIG WILLIAMS (Guillotine): "Got into a great position but raced too keen and he felt like the motor was revving with the handbrake on.
"He just burnt himself out."作者:
