RAMONTI, winner of three Group 1 events for Godolphin in Britain last year but raced only once this season due to a recurrent leg infection, has been retired to stand as a stallion from next spring.:jjjj:
The six-year-old, who rattled up victories in the Queen Anne Stakes, the Sussex Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes before rounding off his 2007 campaign with a success in the Hong Kong Cup, will start his covering career at Kildangan Stud in Ireland.
John Ferguson, bloodstock adviser to Sheikh Mohammed, said on Thursday: "Ramonti was a brilliant racehorse, with a tremendous record, and it was a great pity he wasn't able to run more this season."作者:
