EUROPE'S sprint champion Marchand D'Or is being lined up for another crack at the Dubai Golden Shaheen on March 28 after running in Hong Kong next month.
The five-year-old ran in Nad Al Sheba race in 2007, finishing eighth to Kelly's Landing.
"He is going to Hong Kong for the Sprint and then we will look to try Dubai again," said trainer Freddie Head.
"He is my first Group 1 winner, so is my favourite horse and hopefully we can run him for a couple more seasons."
The son of Marchand De Sable has won five Group 1 races in total, all in the hands of Davy Bonilla, but fell short at the top level on his only previous try in Dubai.
At the time, the suggestion was that the dirt didn't suit, but connections are keen for another crack on the surface at the Dubai WorldCup meeting -the final one to be held at Nad Al Sheba, before racing moves to Meydan.
Marchand D'Or added another prize to his haul this week, winning the gong for top sprinter at the Cartier awards.作者:
