美國    報導指出，眾所矚目的吸血鬼愛情片「暮光之城」（Twilight）續集今天在北美創票房佳績，刷新先前票房紀錄。

娛樂圈的報導引述發行片商「頂峰娛樂公司」（Summit Entertainment）表示，「暮光之城2：新月」（The Twilight Saga：New Moon）午夜各場次締造2630萬美元    票房，翻新「黑暗騎士」（The DarkKnight）及哈利波特    系列電影第六集所締造的票房紀錄。

蝙蝠俠續集「黑暗騎士」2008年7月18日首映的午夜票房收入達1840萬美元。「哈利波特：混血王子的背叛」（Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince）今年稍早的首映午夜場則有2220萬美元進帳。

「新月」首映超人氣若持續發燒，將可能改寫更多紀錄，威脅「黑暗騎士」去年寫下的1億5830萬美元的開映首週週末票房成績。

The Twilight Saga: New Moon's $26.3 mil gross from midnight showings broke Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince's record ($22.2 mil) for the highest midnight opening ever. Its opening day gross of $72.7 mil broke The Dark Knight's record ($67.2 mil) for the highest single-day tally of all time. The Twilight Saga: New Moon broke Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire's record ($102.7 mil) for the highest weekend debut in November. It is currently the highest weekend debut of 2009.
