最新消息...躍升有意來香港參加 HK Vase:kkk:
YOUMZAIN is to strut his stuff in the Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin on December 13 after owner Jaber Abdullah reversed his decision not to run the six-year-old again this year following his superb effort behind Sea The Stars in last Sunday's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
Following talks with trainer Mick Channon and his racing manager Bruce Raymond, Abdullah has given the go-ahead for Youmzain to try and end the year in a blaze of glory in the 1m4f contest.
On his website on Friday morning, Channon said: "Jaber has given the all-clear to take Youmzain to Hong Kong and I think it's a great move. He's cantered since he came back from Paris and to all intents and purposes has come out of it really well.
"He's such a character, and I'm sure he'll prove effective at Sha Tin. I've saddled a horse there and it's a beautiful track and a great place to go. The ground should be fine for him out there."
In a further development, it has been decided that Dubai's new Meydan racecourse will be the venue for Youmzain's first outing of the 2010 season.
Channon added: "He stays in training, which is great news, and his first target will be another tilt at the Sheema Classic. Hopefully, the new course at Meydan will bring with it a bit of luck in that race. We all got such a thrill out of his Arc run and there's so much to look forward with him next year."
