After taking up both exciting roles next season, Lemaire will then become the top pilot for the Aga Khan in 2011.
French jockey Christophe Lemaire has secured the job of the Aga Khan's top rider next year, taking over from the axed Christophe Soumillon.
Belgian rider Soumillon will end his association with the Aga Khan at the end of the current season after a fall-out with trainer Andre Fabre.
Lemaire has won three French Classics this year for Jean-Claude Rouget, and recently signed a one-year deal as the retained rider for the Niarchos family.
However, he will also ride for the Aga Khan in 2010 despite the Niarchos family having first call of his services.
"The Aga Khan Studs have announced that Christophe Lemaire will be retained as their first jockey in France next season," read a statement on

"Christophe Lemaire has proved himself at the highest level of his profession over recent years, following his Group One-winning associations with Divine Proportions, Pride, Natagora and most recently, Elusive Wave, Le Havre and Stacelita."After taking up both exciting roles next season, Lemaire will then become the top pilot for the Aga Khan in 2011.
"He recently signed a one-year contract with the Niarchos family and they will have priority on his services in 2010.
When the jockey is not riding for them, he will ride the Aga Khan Studs' French-trained horses," added the statement.
"The Aga Khan Studs are looking forward to starting an association with Christophe Lemaire next year and believe this arrangement will work for them and the Niarchosfamily."
Three-time French champion jockey Soumillon was axed from his post after eight years in the famous green and red silks.
