Triple Honour 唔跑葉森讓賽
Triple Honour will not run in Saturday's Epsom Handicap with trainer Chris Waller pulling the pin on a start in the Group One mile late on Tuesday.
Waller had originally hoped the four-year-old could start despite his lacklustre performance in the George Main Stakes.
Extensive veterinary tests over the past two days failed to find any problems but Waller told TVN he was just not happy with his stable star who won the Doncaster Handicap earlier this year.
"I'm not happy with him personally and I've discussed that with the owners at length as well as my vet Tim Roberts and we just feel the horse is a bit lethargic," Waller said.
"His appearance is not what you'd expect from a horse like him."
"He's a bit dull in the coat.
"I basically just think that he's a horse that could be still going through a growing phase.
"He's got a big frame and hasn't filled out into it properly and maybe just that run first-up with the big weight against the weight-for-age horses might have just taken its toll."
However, Waller's Rosehill training neighbour David Payne said Gallant Tess, who beat Triple Honour in the Chelmsford and finished in front of him in the George Main, would run in the Epsom.
"She has done well so she is going to run," Payne said.
Sydney's champion apprentice Peter Wells has picked up the ride on All Silent who was fifth to Judged in the Bill Ritchie Handicap on Saturday.
"All Silent pulled up well so we decided to run him," trainer Grahame Begg said.
"But we were struggling to find a jockey to ride at 51-1/2 kilos.
"Peter is riding very well at the moment and knows Randwick well so we are happy to to have him on."
Raheeb remains favourite for the Epsom ahead of George Main winner Mentality at $7 with All Silent at $10.
