When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the stablemate CHILL EASY, Mr Yiu advised that he had expected the horse to hold a midfield position and was surprised that AWESOME FLUKE remained three deep during the race, particularly from barrier 6 having regard to the instructions. He said it was not the intention of the stable for this to occur and in the circumstances it was Apprentice Yuen’s riding which led to CHILL EASY being able to obtain cover behind AWESOME FLUKE.
