GLEN BOSS (Ocean Park) 1st - "He's a serious, serious racehorse. He should have won his last six races, all at Group One level. He's an amazing animal, he just wants to win."
CHRIS MUNCE (All Too Hard) 2nd - "He ran out of his skin. The two leaders dropped off probably quicker than I would have liked. If they could have gone for another 50 metres, I probably win the race."
COREY BROWN (Pierro) 3rd - "He was game. I was probably a pair further back than I wanted to be but I had a great run."
RHYS MCLEOD (Ethiopia) 4th - "He ran a huge race. We tried something different by riding him forward. Once he got there he switched off nice and I made sure it was good gallop from the 800 metres. He stuck to his guns really well but they were just a little bit too sharp for him over that trip. If he pulls up well out of this, in ten days time, he'd be a good chance."
HUGH BOWMAN (Shoot Out) 5th - "My horse had every chance. He just lacks the turn of foot necessary over 2000 metres in this race."
LUKE NOLEN (Southern Speed) 6th - "She struggled to get through her gears up the hill, but she closed it out real good. The last couple of sectionals would be comparable with the best in the race. It could be a good Melbourne Cup trial."
CRAIG WILLIAMS (Green Moon) 7th - "You don't win many weight-for-age races sitting three-wide. He got tightened and buffeted around coming out of the straight the first time but he didn't show his usual guts and determination today. I'd just like to see how he pulls up because that's not the horse I know."
CRAIG NEWITT (Proisir) 8th - "We got a breather from about the 1400 metres to the 1200, but no sooner had I got there, Ethiopia was there with me. As soon as we turned at the 800, he pulled the whip on Ethiopia, and just kept it a real true staying test and my bloke just couldn't handle it. It wouldn't surprise me to see him back here in 12 months time and be hard to beat."
MICHAEL RODD (Sincero) 9th - "I followed the winner. The difference was the winner switched off during the run and my bloke was very fierce. When they took off at the 800, I gave my bloke a squeeze and he came up to the bridle, so I decided to try to just ride him for luck. He was game and tried hard."
KERRIN MCEVOY (Happy Trails) 10th - "I got into a nice spot early but I had More Joyous outside laying in on me the whole way then All Too Hard came out and tightened me up at the 800. He never got into a real rhythm but the horse ran well."
NASH RAWILLER (More Joyous) 11th - "She didn't have much luck from the gate. The pressure was pretty solid the whole way which made it very difficult to go forward and get in. She tried her heart out but I was a bit concerned she was found wanting further away from home than I would have imagined."
STEVEN ARNOLD (Linton) 12th - "We just rode him really quiet. He worked into the race quite good around the corner and I got onto Green Moon's back but then he just whacked away."
JAMES MCDONALD (Glass Harmonium) 13th - "He just stuffs up at the start every time. I think if he jumps away he runs fourth. If we can get his barriers right, he'll be right there."
DWAYNE DUNN (Rekindled Interest) 14th - "He was definitely disappointing today. He wasn't his normal self and he's probably at the crossroads of his future now.
