CRAIG WILLIAMS (Southern Speed): “ I had a lovely run and was able to relax. She had a good, tough horse in Green Moon to chase down, he gave me a good fight for 150 metres but she ran away and she was really dominant.”

NICK HALL (Green Moon): “It was a fantastic run. He didn't have the tactical speed to go forward early and he had to cover a lot of extra ground but he held on well. Very happy with the performance.

CRAIG NEWITT (Tullamore): “Terrific run. When he got out he ran home really well.”

DAMIEN OLIVER (Manighar): “It was a nice run again after finishing fifth last year. He's just two or three lengths behind the best Cup horses, but he ran well.”

COREY BROWN (Lucas Cranach): “ He peaked on his run at the 100 metre mark. He's really going to like Flemington if he gets there for the Cup.”

NASH RAWILLER (Unusual Suspect): “ He ran into the race well really and I think 3200 metres at Flemington should be right up his alley.”

DWAYNE DUNN (Drunken Sailor): “I think Flemington will suit him a lot better than Caulfield.”

BRAD RAWILLER (Absolutely): “She had a great run given where we were drawn. I just think she's going to be a lot better in 12 months time.”

DEAN YENDALL (Niwot): “He was made to work early and then found a spot behind leaders but was flushed out near the 700m. It was a nice run under the circumstances.”

GLYN SCHOFIELD (Hawk Island): “He had a nice easy run and had cover all the way. Didn't really let down when I asked him and would probably appreciate more give in the ground.”

MARK ZAHRA (Saptapadi): “I tried to go forward but we got shuffled back. He just had no turn of foot.”

CHRIS SYMONS (Dream Pedlar): “Had to do a bit of work from the barrier. Popped out at the 700m but there was nothing there. They were a class above him.”
