Prep run option for Vase hope Flintshire ARC and Breeders' Cup Turf runner-up Flintshire could have a prep run in France before heading on his travels again for the Longines Hong Kong Vase next month.
Runner-up on his last three starts, the Andre Fabre-trained four-year-old has only finished out of the first four once in 11 starts, with his latest run proving he can cope with the rigours of international travel.
Beaten half a length by Main Sequence at Santa Anita,
Flintshire is being aimed at the Sha Tin Group 1 on December 14, and may drop in class before heading east.
Owner Khalid Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said on Thursday: "He has come out of the Breeders' Cup really well and could run in the Prix Lyphard (Listed) at Deauville on December 2.
"We would always like to win, but he ran another solid race at Santa Anita. He had every chance and we have got no complaints.
"Hopefully he can go to Hong Kong and win one this time. He likes fast ground, we know he goes well on a right-handed track and there is usually a good pace, so he should have a lot in his favour."
Taking him on at Sha Tin will be Hillstar after Sir Michael Stoute confirmed a trip to Hong Kong is next on the agenda for the Grade 1 Canadian International winner.
