幻海奇變練馬師唔識死，繼續用戴勤
Kiwi mare Seachange had to settle for a handy sixth placing in the G2 Jebel Hatta when she made her Dubai debut but she has won over the support of her rider Ted Durcan.
Durcan, the champion rider in Dubai, rode Seachange for the first time in the 1777-metre event and will again be aboard her in her main mission, the $US5 million Dubai Duty Free on May 29.
"He was very impressed with her," trainer Roger Manning told NZ Racing News.
"At the 200 metres he thought she could win, but then she flattened out and peaked.
"He said he wouldn't want to be on anything else in the Duty Free"
Seachange finished just over two lengths from the winner and apart from Jay Peg (60kg) she carried more weight than any of the other horses who beat her home.
Manning had been worried before the race, trying to get a guide on Seachange's progress due to the unfamiliar track conditions.
"It has been four weeks since she last raced and it was a testing race, more like a 2000 metres," said Manning.
"She knew she'd had a race, but that was to be expected, it's been hard to get the right work into her over here.
"You just can't get galloping mates, and uou're allotted times to work and you can only get the grass to work a few times a week."
