「日平線」情況轉穩定
The condition of champion mare Sunline has stabilised with hopes rising that she will survive her life-threatening battle with laminitis.
Sunline developed laminitis, a serious hoof condition, as a result of complications after surgery for colic in July.
The 13-year-old was in a grave condition with severe lameness two weeks ago when she had an abscess in her coronet but her former co-trainer Steve McKee has reported signs of improvement.
McKee said hopes of Sunline surviving were better than two weeks ago.
"She certainly hasn't got any worse," McKee said.
Sunline has been confined to her box and vets predict it could be at least six months before a successful recovery can guaranteed.
McKee also has some good news about his classy mare Boundless, who suffered a bone chip at the end of the Melbourne spring carnival and is currently in quarantine in Melbourne awaiting her return to New Zealand.
"It is only a minute chip and she will recover," he said.
:gggg: 太好了
