Trainer Ross McDonald has revealed he met with jockey Brad Rawiller on Monday after the shock defeat of champion galloper Weekend Hussler in last Saturday’s Patinack Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington.

“We were just beaten by a bad gate and pilot error. We had Brad down on Monday, we played some race tapes. It’s all positive. We know we’ve got the best horse, we just have to get the best ride,” McDonald said.
