RED ROCKS, Brian Meehan's Breeders' Cup winner, made a surprise return to Britain on Friday having spent the past nine months in the US with trainer Mark Hennig.

The winner of more than ￡1.5 million for Meehan, the six-year-old was back in his former box at Manton in Wiltshire.

"It's brilliant to have him here again, he was such a great performer for us over the years," said the trainer."I'm sure there is plenty left in the tank."
