“This is a really nice horse. He ran great. This trip was too short for him. He needs a distance of ground in my view and his day will come.



John Egan Traffic Guard – 10th



“We were in a good position but at the 600m he didn’t find anything. He’s been on the go for a while and maybe he needs a rest now.



Bruce Herd Sir Slick – 5th



He’s run really well. He got a good position and travelled really well in the race. I thought he might run third or fourth but he just got run out of it.



Ronan Thomas - Musical Way -14th



She wasn’t helped by her wide draw. She never really got into the race and was a bit disappointing.



Eric Legrix – Trigger Express – 11th



I was happy with his run but he’s a little bit below this class.



Saimee - Chevron 15th



That’s the way he runs his race. He runs his race from the front. He ran well for a long way but I was always afraid they were going to come and get me.



Damien Oliver – Itmaybeyou – 16th



It was a little bit tough out there.



Robbie Fradd – Mr Line – 13th



The draw of 16 was no help but he was probably a bit out of his depth in this class. He’s much better off against the locals.



Danny Beasley – Onceupatime – 9th.



He had a really tough run over the last 1000m. He knocked up over the last 200m. It was a good run under the circumstances as he was giving away both age and experience.



John Powell – World Delight – 4th.



He ran a super race. We planned to stay on the fence throughout the race and save as much ground as possible. We did that and he kept trying. It was a great run.



Noel Callow – Recast – 2nd.



We flew the flag for Singapore. I was able to get him to switch off. It was a top run. I can’t knock running second in an International Group 1.



Matsuoka – Cosmo Bulk – 6th.



He was just a little slow to jump. He tried to get a good position but we couldn’t so just decided to stay back and reserve his stamina. He had a strong finish in the straight.



Gavin McKeon – Spin Around – 7th.



It was a huge run. I had a beautiful run one off the fence. I was traveling sweetly when I got pushed out three wide when Oliver dropped out. I dropped in behind Callow and had plenty of horse on the turn. I was held-up for a shade early in the straight but when he saw daylight in the straight he ran on strongly. He’s a real trier.

Matsuoka – Cosmo Bulk – 6th.
