Brave Kid will attempt to do the impossible and win seven races for the season, and he will do it in style in the Group One Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Derby without champion jockey Douglas Whyte.
The John Size-trained four-year-old has had a stunning rise up the ladder in his first preparation, from winning over 1,000m at his debut on November 29 to making it six from six yesterday just three months later and stepping up to 1,800m for the first time with 133 pounds on board.
Only the Size-trained Armada has previously gone unbeaten in six starts during his first preparation and no horse has won seven races in a single season, let alone in a row, so history is well and truly against Brave Kid when he takes on the classic on March 14. Whyte was doubtless mindful of all of that when he made his agonised decision last night to stick with the Caspar Fownes-trained Super Satin in the Derby.
"I can tell you that I have never had a more difficult decision to make between two rides and if anyone can get Brave Kid there for the Derby, it would be John Size," said Whyte.
"Brave Kid has come so far so fast and everything that's been thrown at him, he has handled. I have no doubt he is up to the Derby."
"The one thing that made up my mind is that Super Satin proved himself in the Derby Trial last time out against the same horses that we know will be lining up in the Derby. Brave Kid has come through a different group of horses on his way up the ratings and it's harder to get a guide, but there's no doubt he is going to be one of the big horses here."
Size said Brave Kid had continued to progress every time he stepped out to race and had earned his place in the classic, winning the same race yesterday that launched Collection into the Derby as a hot favourite last year.
"He's fully qualified to be in the Derby so he'll be there," he said

韋達e個決定好合理
你極品絲綢氣量夠, 又同過好多打比馬跑, 實力都有過證明..
勇敢小子1800贏勇者無敵係因為本身隻馬質素高勇者無敵好多, 未必因為氣量夠 .. 氣量夠既LAST 100 果個位應該可以加速彈開個幾馬位贏, 而唔係差D俾勇者無敵FIGHT BACK, 再上2000實在非常難跑. 再者3個月6出6捷, 體力方面比同場對手輸蝕, 而且佢贏D對手未睇清楚佢有GROUP RACE 實力....韋達唔騎佢係好合理 ...... 不過如果一個唔好彩佢辛苦贏6場既馬, 到大賽送左俾人地贏 + 1季7捷榮耀, 咁就...... :iiii:

其實都唔易揀，勇敢小子一路贏上去既難度係十分之高..
唔係你求其搵隻110分馬出黎由52分跑起就得...
佢最犀利係由1000一路增程到1800，呢點其實真係要佩服
不過你話琴日個場馬，我就覺得勇者無敵係慳盡哂黎上..同埋返到黎唔計佢，其他馬都講緊輸兩個馬位或以上
揀極品絲綢始終係穩陣d既，上場係明贏你締造老美，而且打比好少係前置馬贏..
上年閒話一句個d都係叫中段走甩
我就覺得極品絲綢 p會幾穩陣，贏唔贏到真係睇臨場，輸都唔好賴哂韋達...同場d馬質素真係不相伯仲，又或者未見底

但果場都贏得倒
理論上, 勇敢小子都係跑普通班既賽事
但每次勝負距離雖然話唔係好多
每次都是點都即止
就係咁先恐佈
因為計唔倒隻馬仲有幾多
打比預賽跑過既馬其實都係騎盡
氣量上, 2000真係未知數
但其他馬, 唔計未來港前既賽績
大家都係未跑過2000
但勇敢小子跑法夠機動
始終較著數
話唔定一陣14日打比賽日又利前領
咁勇敢小子就更著數

我覺得絲綢 3甲都穩
勇敢小子驚好似喜勁飛咁, 對手強左太多適應唔到, 同埋6捷只係用左3個月, 體力回得切嗎?

Zac Purton's pick-up ride on Enriched for trainer John Size could lead to bigger things in the coming weeks after the jockey guided the talented gelding to a comfortable win in the Citibank Insurance Handicap (1,400m) and snared a double.
Purton's second winner for Size from only 13 rides may have placed his foot in the door for the prized pick-up ride of Brave Kid in the Group One Hong Kong Derby on March 14, with Whyte opting to stick with the Caspar Fownes-trained Super Satin.
"I couldn't believe my ears when John rang up about the ride, and had to double check which horse he was talking about," Purton said. "It was a bit of a gift in the end, the tempo suited him perfectly and his high cruising speed allows him to relax and then go through his gears.
"I don't have a ride in the Derby at the moment, and I'd be happy to take any ride instead of just watching it on the television in the jockeys' room," Purton said.
"But to pick up the mount on Brave Kid would obviously be tremendous and fingers crossed John and the owners consider me."
Purton may have some stiff competition for the Derby ride, however, with Brett Prebble likely to also be available for the classic.
Size has not indicated who will ride Brave Kid, but was happy with the way Purton and Enriched performed yesterday.
"Like my other winner Entrapment, Enriched drew badly, but the good early speed in the race broke the field up a bit and, going forward, he was able to drop into a good spot," Size said. "Zac gave him every chance and it was a comfortable win in the end."
The win completed a double for Purton, who won earlier in the card on the Almond Lee-trained Eight Plus Nine.
Purton guided the gelding to a soft lead and, after kicking clear in the straight, fought off the challengers to win by a head from grinding Soldier.
Lee also bagged a double and combined with American rider Aaron Gryder to claim the first race with Sabina.
"Sabina is a late maturer, and being by Keeper out of a Zabeel mare I have been expecting him to improve gradually," Lee said.
"It was only a Class Five race today and does not prove if he is really good, but it is a step in the right direction for him."

潘頓索騎勇敢小子
「勇敢小子」暫未有人選出爭打𠖳，不過替蔡𤐵剛勝出「安御」的潘頓，則極希望獲得此駒帥印，現正向蔡約翰及馬主方面爭取。
另外，擬定為「君子一言」跑打𠖳的戴勝，已獲准於今日策此駒出試第五組大閘。

to share some point
勇敢小子,打比,机会不大(刚刚的一场,现场看是有点疲态的,如果有录低,跑到半程,前半身全是汗,是对上3场没有的,以前的老师傅教,完成赛程回来有汗,问题不大,跑到半程大汗,是用到真ENERGY来跑的,)
反而不跑这一场,
为1季7W的记录为目标是否更好?
但这马就真的还有好多上升的空间,好好马来的

不嬲都係勇者無敵追上黎 , 點會係fightback
不過係勇敢小子軔力夠 , 頂足400米 , 而且呢場步速比隻奪寶搞亂晒
後面d馬中段就已經要發力追上黎 , 其實要衝足600米
而且跑出黎個時間都唔差 , 勇敢小子頂磅 133磅衝嬴晒後面d馬 ,
末段為全場第二快 , 最快既係1班實力馬零距離
最緊要佢咁快步速都無斷到 , keep住衝足400 , 明顯夠長力
而且打比幾乎全部都係中慢步速 , 以佢既爆發力 , 絕對有力爭win
唔通一隻馬跑 23.0 23.0 22.0 先叫勁咩 :llll:
