Youmzain is to run again this year after all following his third successive second placing in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
The six-year-old is to seek handsome compensation in the Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin on December 13 despite connections of Jaber Abdullah's entire earlier opting to send him on his winter break.
The team have reconsidered that plan and the Far East is now on the agenda following talks between trainer Mick Channon and the owner's racing manager Bruce Raymond.
"Jaber has given the all-clear to take Youmzain to Hong Kong and I think it's a great move," the West Ilsley trainer told
www.mickchannon.tv.
"He's cantered since he came back from Paris and to all intents and purposes has come out of it really well.
"He's such a character and I'm sure he'll prove effective at Sha Tin. I've saddled a horse there and it's a beautiful track and a great place to go. The ground should be fine for him out there."
Youmzain's first run of 2010 is likely to be in the Dubai Sheema Classic at the new Meydan racecourse. He has finished third and fourth in the last two runnings of the Group One at Nad Al Sheba.
"He stays in training, which is great news, and his first target will be another tilt at the Sheema Classic," Channon went on.
"Hopefully the new course at Meydan will bring with it a bit of luck in that race. We all got such a thrill out of his Arc run and there's so much to look forward to with him next year."
